Lately, I’ve found myself using comixology quite a bit on my iPhone to buy and read. It’s been a love/hate relationship so far because while I’m trying to be more green by going digital, I still find myself wanting to hold the comic in my hand. The features of comixology are great, but I’m not sure it can replace the real deal. Of course, my lazy streak/time savings also plays a part in this digitizing attempt. I have literally hundreds of comics available to me at any time without the need to drive to a store or order them online saving me time plus gas or shipping. But the downside to instant availability is the possibility of losing track of how much money is being spent. With just a couple of finger taps, I’m downloading a comic at whatever price it is valued at. So, I definitely have to be conscious of what I’m spending.

We’ll see where this goes. So far, its looking like I’m heading in the direction of digitizing future comic book purchases.
